I'm Anna.
I invite people into the things I care about with storytelling, beauty, and true connection.
Storytelling
I’ve been telling stories since I could talk. As a child, I used to hold picture books and pretend to read them aloud – even though I couldn’t read yet. The stories were, and still are, in my heart always, clambering to escape.

In an age of artificial intelligence, good, story-driven writing is a dying art. But I will not substitute it for the human-ness that writing brings. While AI can be a tool in the process, perhaps, it was never meant to block the soul connection between author and reader.

My writing spans articles, interviews, scripts, and storytelling across platforms. My interdisciplinary writing background taught me the dance between the written and the visual, and the benefit of fully immersive experiences that leverage all mediums to bring people in.

And in studying PR and working in Digital Marketing, I have learned that stories go so far beyond the written word. I specialize in stories that explode off the page -- based on good writing, but quickly expanding to meet you in every space, from audio to video to interactive experiences.

If you need a thoughtful editor, a careful listener, or a collaborator for meaningful work, I'd love to join in.

Beauty
I admire beauty, and I strive to bring it to everything I touch. From the physical arts to graphic design, music, and photography, all forms of creation tell stories and bring people together. Through attention and care to all spaces, like website design, social media presence, event decor, and even page formatting, we invite people in and make them care about what we do.

I’ve designed websites for bands, invitations for events, and graphics breaking stereotypes of what people think it means to be human. I make sure that videos are beautiful and engaging. At Atlanta Mission, I curate our online presence to show the real, gritty truth of what it means to be homeless, and I build awareness – one post at a time – for people that often go unseen.
But I also highlight the beauty that is often overlooked in these people. Little moments of joy and connection, showing that there is no line between "us" and "them." And I believe that a function of beauty is to build true empathy, reminding us that we are all created the by the same God, and we are all made in His beautiful image.
Connection
Connection lies at the base of all that I do in Storytelling and Communications. It is both the cause and the effect of the work.

I can’t write a good story without talking to the people it’s about; without listening, caring, and faithfully sharing what I learn. When I create content – whether it’s visual, auditory, or written – I always learn first. The worst damage comes from jumping into a story you don’t know about, before you truly have something to say.

I use every affordance – digital, interactive, written, visual, tangible, and audible – to touch people’s hearts and to get them to care about things.

The most important part of my work is not the deliverables and the assets – it’s the big picture. I thrive in the why.
